What is Polyurethane?
Polyurethane is a synthetic rubber created by reacting a polymer with an isocyanate and a crosslinking agent to form an elastomer. The formulation of these elastomers are variable, enabling PSI Urethanes to custom-make cast urethane products to any hardness required. The elastomer produced can range from very soft, think gel shoe insoles, to very hard, like a hardhat. Our cast urethane products are resistant to various chemicals and are used in multiple industrial applications such as urethane rollers, wheels, and bumpers.
